Advanced Biomedical Scientist – Section Leader

Qualifications: MSc in BioMedical Science, BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences, FIBMS, PG Cert HCL (Open)

Location: Blood Sciences Department – AutoImmunity, Royal Victoria Infirmary

Jason started his career at Northumbria Healthcare foundation trust in 1995 as a trainee in Clinical Chemistry. During his time at Northumbria he gained his MSc in Biomedical Science and his Fellowship into the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.

In 2011 he left Northumbria and joined the Clinical Chemistry team at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital. He worked there for 5 years gaining on Open University Post Graduate certificate in Healthcare Leadership. In 2015 he left the Freeman and now works as part of the senior team in AutoImmunology.
