Deputy Head of Department, Consultant Virologist

Qualifications: MBChB, BSC, PhD, MRCPCH, FRCPath

Sheila trained in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Newcastle and has been a Consultant Virologist in Newcastle since 2008.

She has an interest in all areas of virology but in particular viral infections in children and in pregnancy. She is also involved in medical education and training in clinical virology.
