Consultant Immunologist

Qualifications: BMedSci MBChB MRCP FRCPath

Having attended Medical School at the University of Sheffield, Catherine completed her pre-registration training in Sheffield.  Her post-graduate medical training was in Newcastle before taking a registrar post in Immunology based in the Royal Victoria Infirmary.  During this post Catherine completed a Certificate in Clinical Education and now continues to teach undergraduates in the Medical and Dental School.

Catherine was appointed as Consultant Immunologist in October 2009 and undertakes outpatient clinics specifically advising on the management of allergy, urticaria and angioedema, primary and secondary immunodeficiency and investigation of vasculitis.  She is actively involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching and is involved in managing the CPA accredited Immunology Laboratory.
