Dr Tina Biss

Tina qualified in medicine at Nottingham University in 1997 and trained in Haematology in Newcastle upon Tyne and Toronto, Canada.
She completed a postgraduate research degree in anticoagulation in children in 2011 and has been a Consultant Haematologist since December 2011.
Tina’s clinical interest is in the management of bleeding and thrombotic disorders, particularly in children. Her research interest is in paediatric thrombosis and anticoagulation.
She is Chair of the UK paediatric thrombosis interest group and NENC LCRN (North East & North Cumbria Local Clinical Research Network) Specialty Group lead for haematology.
