Advanced Practitioner– Cellular Pathology

Sarah studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Sunderland (BSc) and Northumbria University (MSc).

She became a state registered Biomedical Scientist in 2004, achieved Fellowship of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences in 2009 and Chartered Scientist status in 2011.

Sarah also attained the Certificate in Continuing Education (Assessing Competence in Practice) from Teesside University in 2010 and the IBMS Certificate of Expert Practice in Leadership and Management in 2013.

Sarah was appointed into the post of Advanced Practitioner in Histological Dissection in November 2014, following completion of the IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection.

Sarah is currently studying for the RCPath/IBMS BMS Histopathology Reporting Pilot in Gastrointestinal Pathology.
