Steph first started at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in September 2012 as a placement student then was employed as a registered BMS in July 2014, working in the Haematology and Transfusion laboratories at the RVI.
In 2016 Steph started the Scientist Training Programme in the discipline of Haematology and Transfusion Science, working across both the RVI and the Freeman. In 2019 she completed her MSc in Clinical Sciences, and was appointed as section leader in the Flow Cytometry laboratory. She is registered as a Clinical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Steph is the laboratory lead for Harvey’s Gang, an initiative that allows paediatric patients to visit the laboratory and learn about what happens to their blood samples.
